“To whom it may concern,
I would like to provide this testimonial letter for Classic Residential Design, who helped us through the design process in summer 2014 for a garage suite, which we subsequently constructed in 2015. We worked closely with Brad Wengryn throughout the process. From the outset, Brad was helpful and knowledgeable, always providing prompt responses to the many (i.e. endless) questions we asked. He was able to take rough sketches we created of our envisioned floor plan along with our design wish list and turn this into a comprehensive drawing package for the builder. At the same time, he offered valuable design tips that resulted in a final design package that optimized both form and function.

The City of Edmonton development permit system can be quite difficult to interpret but Brad patiently helped us through the process, ensuring we had a drawing package that would meet all of the applicable code requirements. We had an unusual project, with several variances that we were required to appeal in a presentation to the City of Edmonton. As part of our presentation, we included the Classic Residential drawing package, which we were complimented on for its professional and attractive design, and our appeal was approved.

In summary, Classic Residential Design handled our project with the utmost professionalism, was excellent to work and collaborate with and provided what I consider great value with top-quality design work at a fair price. “Classic Residential Design came highly recommended to us by friends of ours who had just completed building their new home. As this was the construction of our second home, we were committed to taking on a great deal of its creation on our own. This of course started with the perfect blueprint. We contacted Brad at Classic Design who was accommodating and able to meet with us ‘after work hours.’ We provided Brad with a very draft outline of what we were interested in a bungalow home plan. Brad asked appropriate questions concerning our lifestyle, our tastes and other things we hadn’t taken into account (and we thought having already had a home built for us, we were ‘pros’). Brad discussed the cost of his service and honoured it to completion. We concluded our meeting feeling confident that we left our ‘draft’ in good hands. We were contacted by Brad when he had a blueprint for us to look at. Brad told us to take the blueprint home, go over it and ‘mark it up as much as we would like’ before bringing it back to him for the final product. We were so impressed and pleased with what Brad had created we couldn’t dare touch it!

We have resided in our home for 3 ½ years now and are still extremely happy. We received compliments from everyone who sees it. (We’ve even had builders asking for a ‘sample’ of our plan or at least photos!) Building a home is a huge undertaking to take on, but with the proper contacts, which start with the right home designer, everything can fall nicely into place. We owe the success and satisfaction of our final product to Brad and Classic Design!"

“Dear Brad,
This letter confirms our reference and endorsement of the work and preparation of your professional architectural designs and delivery of blueprints to help Dorothy and me with the construction of properties in Point Roberts, Washington, and Northern Alberta during the last 15 years. The original and current projects are numbered and recorded as follows:
Point Roberts, WA, USA: Commencement in 2001. Certified and permitted by Whatcom County officials in 2003. This 3000 sq. ft. the home was completed and fully permitted in the spring of 2004.
Floating Stone Lake, AB: The Carriage House vacation home was manufactured off-site of Floating Stone Lake at Morinville, Alberta. The two-story carriage house was delivered to Floating Stone Lake on July 4, 2011.
Point Roberts, WA, USA: Brad was given the direction for this project including a site visit, escorted by Darrel and Dorothy. The architectural design and blueprints were completed by Brad’s team and given to The Point Roberts Lighthouse Society in the early spring of 2013. The Lighthouse design generated by the Classic Residential Design team was presented to Bernie in the fall of 2013. The design reflects the relocation and development of Hooper’s Light in St. Michael’s, Maryland on the east shore of Chesapeake Bay.
Edmonton, AB: Our company’s home office and headquarters have drafted a plan to install six earthly framed awnings above the six entrance doors with signage. Brad and his team are doing the blueprints for this.’’
