Meet the Founder:
Brad Wengryn, A.T.
Classic Residential Design was founded by Brad Wengryn, an accomplished architectural technologist with over three decades of experience in residential and commercial design. Born and raised in Edmonton, Brad brings a deep understanding of the local building landscape and a passion for helping clients bring their visions to life.
Since launching the company in 1990, Brad has led thousands of successful projects—from custom homes to commercial builds—with a focus on quality, collaboration, and integrity. His approachable style, strong technical expertise, and client-first mindset have made him a trusted name in Alberta’s design community.
Brad’s commitment to excellence
Brad's commitment to excellence extends beyond his business. He has taught home design in NAIT’s Architectural Technology program and currently serves on NAIT’s Program Advisory Committee, contributing to curriculum development for future industry professionals. He is also a longtime member of the Big Brothers Big Sisters Dream Home Design team, contributing to at least five show homes over ten years. In addition, he has designed residences for the House of Hope Foundation with Landmark Homes, and Compassion Houses near the University of Alberta Hospital.
Many of his projects have also earned recognition from the Canadian Home Builders’ Association through numerous builder clients as a testament to the design excellence and innovation he brings to every build.
When he’s not designing dream homes, Brad enjoys giving back to the Edmonton community and finding inspiration in architectural design from around the world.
